As a DevOps Engineer IIfor our Corporate Data & Analytics team, you will be working with Tier 1 data and you’ll have the opportunity to experience many different systems that have enterprise-wide implications. You will be working with industry leading heavyweight database systems that include Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server. You will also work with Attunity which essentially binds these platforms and uses a continuous delivery approach. You will apply your experience in development, systems administration, and systems engineering to create, modify, test and tune code, forms and scripts to allow applications to run. You may work from specifications drawn up by analysts or others, as well as conduct your own requirements gathering. You will also develop and write solutions to store, locate, automate and retrieve specific documents, data and information and distribute through multiple methods. You’ll be asked to learn and adapt quickly and to dig in to resolve complex technical issues. Your work will positively impact our members by insuring they receive timely reimbursements and that our businesses are drawing accurate top lines that will affect their bottom lines. You will have exposure to enterprise class data warehouse, data science and machine learning from a DevOps perspective.

What you’ll do

  • Develop code to test and deploy solutions using the applicable technology

  • Write thoughtful and thorough test plans and document results

  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and solve problems independently or collaboratively

  • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications

  • Construct estimates for development and testing

  • Perform thorough design and code peer reviews

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science or similar area

  • 2 years’ experience in programming and systems engineering which includes Unix/Linux or Windows systems environment

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change control disciplines (ITIL) would be a plus

  • Attunity experience would be helpful

  • Strong, persistent problem solving skills with the drive to find a solution

  • Ability to work with multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows)

  • Experience supporting

  • Enterprise wide systems

  • ETL tools like DataStage or SSIS

  • Working knowledge of automation tools, code and script (i.e. T-SQL, Bash, or Python would be helpful)

  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations

  • Ability to describe container technologies as they apply to DevOps methodologies
