As a member of the IT Support Services Team, the Hardware Asset Technician receives, inspects, and labels workstation hardware and peripherals and maintains complete and accurate inventory records on the acquisition, status, and disposition of all Premera assets. The incumbent performs technical and administrative duties in support of purchasing/material management functions, such as inventory control and analysis and support new hire functions of shipping out equipment.

This is an on-site position at the Mountlake Terrace campus.

What you'll do:

  • The Hardware Asset Technician requires working knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control

  • This position will be working closely with Leadership and campus support team to constantly plan and coordinate inventory and asset control and analysis

  • The Hardware Asset Technician has contact with IT Staff and Internal customers through oral and written communication, and needs be accurate in communication of obtaining information to perform the functions assigned.

  • Assist with receiving and inspecting all capital equipment delivered to the PCDC. Document receipt of goods into an automated purchasing and asset management systems.

  • Inspect shipments of materials, equipment and supplies received to ensure compliance with purchase order specifications. Identify and reports shortages, damages, and other discrepancies.

  • Assign, inscribe and affix identification markings on all Premera compute assets.

  • Update the asset management system for acquisitions, transfer, and dispositions of all Premera assets.

  • Maintain asset inventory records and files in accordance with Premera policies and procedures and prepares asset reports.

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct periodic physical inventories audits of warehoused items and Premera assets; update records and prepare draft and final reports of inventory.

  • Use scanning devices, bar code technology and spreadsheets to record physical inventory items for audits and upload into asset management system.

  • Perform various levels of technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for client hardware and software as assigned. This includes laptops, mobile phones, desktop computers, Wyse terminals, telephones, and printers.

  • Collaborate with Support and Engineering to test and deploy approved OS images (Windows and macOS) to Premera assets.

  • Strong knowledge of technical hardware required including proficient knowledge of PC principles and protocols.

  • Customer focused and decisions are driven from an Improve End User Experience paradigm

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma (Required)

  • CompTIA A+ Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date (Required)

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • IT trouble shooting experience preferred

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.

National Plus Salary Range:

$56,600.00 - $84,900.00

*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska .
