As Sr. Manager of Data Governance , you will utilize your expertise in both data governance and people management to effectively manage the Data Governance Office and drive organizational change.
What you’ll do:
Lead the organization and the Data Governance Office team in the development, optimization and maturation of Premera’s data governance program
Drive continual improvement in data management practices through collaboration and partnership with domain owners, domain stewards, and key data stakeholders, ensuring direction aligns with strategic priorities
Establish, implement, and maintain an enterprise wide data management framework that instills data accountability
Provide consultation and guidance to leaders to ensure an understanding of data governance and management concepts, roles, and responsibilities
Facilitate and support Data Governance Committee and Data Governance Board meetings
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in data management, business, or healthcare
Eight (8) years of experience leading data management/governance initiatives and programs
Including three (3) years of people management
In depth understanding of data management/governance principles and practices
Proven ability to influence and lead data management practices at all levels of the organization
Experienced change agent with an understanding of change management processes and knowledge of how to best influence large scale change
Independent decision-making skills and the ability to recommend viable solutions to issues
Able to perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for the remediation of data governance and quality issues
